Renewal (or, the best news I've heard in a long time)

Yesterday a baby girl was born, alert, eyes-open, a healthy 7 lb. 6 oz., to my former clients whose first child was born still nearly two years ago. I know many of you have followed their story. I couldn't wait to share this happy new beginning.

Wonderful!!

Yesterday I got to visit a couple in our church who had twin girls on Thursday - 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 7 lbs. 11 oz., born at 38w! They were all doing incredibly well. Quite a contrast to my own horrible delivery and aftermath, so it was a bittersweet experience for me (i.e., I'm totally happy for them, and always want everyone everywhere to have a good birth experience and happy beginnings, but I always always feel a pang of sadness over what I didn't get).

Okay, that was a whole lotta unloading. All I meant to say was yay for your clients. I hope they have a wonderful babymoon.

As hard as it has been facing each day without our son, it is a good thing we didn't know just how wonderful it is to have a newborn. Evelyn Rose is such a dear baby and completes our lives in a way I had nearly given up on. Thanks for your support and the support from the network of your readers that has gotten us to these precious days.
