Another reason for restraint with Cesareans

A new study shows that women with a prior Cesarean section delivery have nearly a 50% greater chance of placenta previa in subsequent pregnancies.

WHEW! Finally a study big enough to make a splash! Been a few others showing previa and accretia increases... but they were swept under the carpet because the test group wasn't "big enough".

And that risk increase with each subsequent cesarean. Docotors will try to tell a woman who has had a cesarean that because of the risk of previa that she should have another, but rather than push another major surgery, she should consider vbac.
