A Sign Your Spouse Has Been a Student Too Long

Tonight my spouse was included in the guest list for dinner with a visiting speaker from his department. As he prepared to leave, he kissed our boys goodbye. The younger son, age three, eyed him suspiciously, then pointed to his neck.

"What's that?"

"It's called a tie."

pause

"Did you get married?"

How funny! I live in jeans and scrubs so I would get funny looks if I dressed up, too! : D

That's too funny...anytime I am in anything other than sweats or jeans for the last two and half years the man boys or hubby say, "Going somewhere?" (meaning--other than school--and I usually am...)

Heh heh!

When my daughter was in preschool my husband and I got all dressed up to go to a wedding. A year later she was still talking about the time Mommy wore lipstick.

Ha!! So adorable!

When I was a grad school widow, during really bad times of the month, I remember being completely convinced that my husband was having an affair, our marriage was over and I'd have to move back in with my parents everytime he'd come home with a hair cut.

LOL, my husband is a grad school widower!

Every now and then I wear something I have to iron and always get complimented when I come home.

This week I had to get my haircut to go to a professional conference. I didn't think a 12 year oldish pony tail was gonna cut it with a business suit!
