Keep your womb intact and in situ!

A new study says that women who have a C-section are twice as likely to have a hysterectomy following a subsequent pregnancy than women who do not deliver surgically.

I'm in the midst of asking for a hysterectomy. The scar tissue is more painful than either of my subsequent childrens births.
I'm also getting serious blood loss more than the usual once a month... so yeah. I'm about to beg.

This and the miscarrage factor weren't any where in the conversations before they did my section.
I'm so disgusted by 'informed concent' as far as cesareans go...
sigh...
Here is hoping that this article/study makes a HUGE impact.

mm, I'm so sorry to hear about the path you've had to go down. My sister-in-law had a hysterectomy for similar reasons. She was pretty anemic as a result of monthly blood loss. Best wishes for a truly informed decision this time around and thoughtful caregivers!
