Whose bright idea was it?

To revoke daylight savings the day before Halloween?

Between the excitement (Oh, the excitement! Second only, and barely, to Christmas) and the "fall back," my older son was awake at 4:30 a.m. for the day.

Have I mentioned how perpetial lack of sleep is the biggest, most unpleasant shock of parenthood, now well into its eighth year? Oh, I guess I have.

Couldn't agree more. Could this be the latest DST has occurred? I think in 2008 it will be a thing of the past...or so I read that somewhere.

I read that, too, and would be SO glad, if they'd get rid of it!

Sorry to be the voice of dissenting opinion. If they don't revoke the daylight savings time my kids walk to the bus in the dark! Mind you the stop is at the front of our development but I have to admit I told younger sister (12) that older brother (15 and 6') has to walk to the bus with her, I don't want my 12 year old walking in the pitch black alone to the stop.
I work too and sometimes I have to be out of the house at 5:00 am, I hate the idea of the kids walking in the dark and waiting for the bus near a semi-busy road in the dark.
So, as they say there is always 2 sides to a story!
