Hi, I came here via seeing your name on a comment on Julie (Bookworm's blog). (You and I have the same strong feeling re: the Pledge of Allegiance.)
As for this cool image, perhaps whoever painted it was pro-life, pro-"being proud of being a woman", or simply sad about the loss of a uterus due to a hysterectomy like maybe from cancer. The only reason I bring up the sad reason is that light pink is used for breast cancer...
Regardless, it is a lovely image and is sends a strong messgage of embracing femininity and life (and I am pro-choice) in lieu of negative information and myths about one's menstrual cycle.

I'd heard that there was a "vagina monster" loose on the UM campus the other day. Perhaps this is a photo. (Seriously, there was a six-foot vagina on the diag.)
